And not the computer types. I’m talking decision making, highly paid professional morons. Oh, wait, morons? Well, not all the time.
After the events of yesterday, I’m not terribly pleased with some of the higher ups in the Northeastern food chain. Why? Because I had classes. Or rather, I had one class. But that has nothing to do with the administration. My professors for my first and last class cancalled the classes due to the snow and just plain horrible conditions. The one professor who did have class is a person I’m not totally convinced is a full out prof yet. She might be a grad student or something. She enjoys teaching too much.
So anyway, I drove in to NU yesterday at 11. That was quite possibly the worst time for me to drive in. It was snowing like a crazy mo-fo and the roads were pretty slick. But I arrived in one piece and only hit one curb (due to lack of snow plow action and I checked it out today, the thing juts out into the road… totally not my fault). I parked in the garage and trudged my way through the muck and mess of campus to sit in the library before class. After class I grabbed a wrap from Mondo’s and went to lay down in the classroom for my next class but, lo! Thar be a sign on yonder door. Class cancelled.
Most pointless day ever. On my way to my next task (which should have been done at 11 instead of 4), I get sludged by a plow on the opposite side of Route 1. No plow should ever go 50 and be able to launch stuff into the middle lane of the opposing direction.
Blah. Administration of NU, I point my finger in your direction and say if it snows like this again you better cancel classes.
In other news, zombies have invaded Austin, TX (thanks to Dan) and I think I have a good calendar page for tomorrow.
